Feb 27, 2024: KN Trails Closed – for now

Due to record warm temperatures and extremely low snow base, the decision has been made to close the Ski trail systems for now. The groomers will re-assess if there is a significant snowfall and grooming can be done to allow for more skiing. More

Trail 3 system trails are still closed for Magic of Lights takedown. Please avoid using this area while Wesley Clover Parks staff are working there.  We will update when work is complete and Trail 3 is ready to be skied on. More

Rental shop not open today, Jan 13

Due to difficulties accessing Kanata Nordic Cabin (plowing not yet done) - the Rental shop cannot be open today. It will be open tomorrow - Sun Jan 14 for regular posted hours. More

Trail grooming – soon!

Dec 4, 2023:  There is snow on the ground, but grooming operations will need to be coordinated and started up. The snow is wet and warm, and very difficult to groom at this time. We will update as we get our grooming operations underway.  As temperature drops we will assess if some trails can compacted with a roller starting with the OWWT, due to its paved base. Kanata Nordic Adopts Revised SafeSport Policies

Kanata Nordic has adopted the Nordiq Canada and Cross-Country Ski Ontario’s (XCSO) policies for Safe Sport. https://www.kanatanordic.ca/governance-bylaws These policies give our club a clear set of guidelines for providing a safe environment for athletes, coaches, and volunteers. New policy on Dogs on the Kanata Nordic Ski Club Trails

Dogs are not permitted on Kanata Nordic's cross-country ski or snowshoe trails. They compromise the safety of skiers on the trails and in parking lots, impair grooming quality, leave waste on the trails and conflict with the animal policy of one of our key land partners. The only exception to this policy is for dogs fully certified as sight or support assistance dogs in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Proposed Updates to Kanata Nordic Bylaws

Please find a copy of the proposed changes to the Kanata Nordic Constitution and Bylaws being proposed by the 2022-2023 Executive Committee to align the existing documents to Ontario's new Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and integrate past Special Motions into the text of the bylaws.
