Volunteer Opportunity: Canadian Eastern Championships
Get ready for one of the best x-c skiing events of the year in Canada!
The up-coming Canadian Eastern Championships (Feb 5-7, 2016) are again being organized with the collaboration of all ski clubs in this region: Chelsea Nordiq, Kanata Nordic, Nakkertok, Skinouk, and XC Chelsea Masters. More than 600 athletes and 300 spectators from every province in Canada will be at this three-day race series being held at the Nakkertok South ski facility in Cantley, QC. To make this event successful we need your help! Volunteering is a great way to meet other members of the ski community and the volunteer contribution that you make will benefit your own ski group as revenues generated by this event are shared according to the volunteer hours amassed by each club.

It’s really easy! iVolunteer will be used for communicating with all Eastern’s 2016 volunteers so please make sure that your spam filter is set to allow emails from iVolunteer.com. Instructions to sign-up for a volunteer position using iVolunteer
Go to easterns.ivolunteer.com and you will see a list of possible volunteer opportunities. Click on one such as Athlete Food, Bibs, Course Control, Event Marshalls, Finish Line, Parking, Start Line, Stadium and Site & Venue Set Up, etc. . . Within each subgroup you will find tabs for the date of the volunteer requirements. When you click on a tab (date), you will see a list of volunteer tasks. To volunteer for a specific task, click on the ”Volunteer” button for the date/task/time you are interested in. Follow the instructions for sign up. You will be asked to enter the email address at which you would like to receive emails, your home and cell phone numbers and your club or affiliation (from a drop-down menu). After signing up you must confirm you selection by opening your confirmation email and clicking on the link in that email. The webpage at that link will keep track of all your volunteer commitments for Easterns.
