Volunteer at Canadian Eastern Championship

The Canadian Eastern Championship (February 5 to 7 2016) being held at Nakkertok this weekend is THE largest competitive cross-country race event in Canada with over 700 competitors from Midget to Open categories from all provinces and territories. The event again has an organizing committee which is a joint initiative of clubs in the Ottawa-Gatineau cross-country ski community: Nakkertok Nordic, Club Skinouk, Chelsea Nordiq, Kanata Nordic, and XC Chelsea Masters. Profits from the event are shared among these clubs based on the extent to which their members contribute to the volunteer effort required to stage it.

Volunteers come from all clubs around the community to make this event a successes and there are a range of opportunities over the course of the envoy. For the Easterns, Kanata Nordic is rewarded financially for volunteers and this is important for both the club and to support the Racing Program.
