Annual General Meeting

Dear Kanata Nordic Members;

Kanata Nordic is having their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday May 13th.

This meeting wraps up the 2023-24 season, discusses the programs and events that occurred, outlines our financial position, celebrates our retiring volunteers, discusses plans and future developments for the club and elects volunteers to the Executive Committee.

We want you to attend. If you’re curious about the club’s operations, successes and challenges, this is a great way to find out more and establish connections for the next season. We welcome input and questions at the meeting.

This AGM will be a virtual (Zoom) meeting at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 13th for roughly 60 to 90 minutes, depending on questions. A Zoom link will be circulated to current members on Friday, May 10th.

If you have an interest in helping shape the future direction of Kanata Nordic; there will be opportunities to join a committee or a Board position or put forth suggestions for consideration and possible action (where feasible).

2024 AGM Motion: 

Expenditure Over $10,000 : Acquisition of purpose-built 8-way trail grooming front blade for Kubota Tractor. 

The motion proposes an expenditure with a budget up to $45,000 for the purchase of a purpose-built 8-way trail grooming front blade for Kubota tractor, to improve trail grooming capabilities in varied conditions, improve Kubota grooming efficiency, and facilitate snow movement. The decision regarding the make and model will be researched and a recommendation made by a committee reporting to the Trails coordinator. The final approval of the purchase will be made by the sitting Kanata Nordic Executive.
