Annual General Meeting – 2025 Season

Dear Kanata Nordic Members,

You are invited to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, May 12th at 7pm.

This meeting wraps up the 2024-25 season, discusses the programs and events that occurred, outlines our financial position, discusses plans and future developments for the club and elects volunteers to the Executive Committee.

We want you to attend. If you’re curious about the club’s operations, successes and challenges, this is a great way to find out more and establish connections for the next season. We welcome input and questions at the meeting.

This AGM will be a virtual (Zoom) meeting at 7pm on Monday, May 12th for roughly 60 to 90 minutes, depending on questions and motions. Zoom link has been sent to Kanata Nordic members in a separate email.

2025 Motion Proposed by KN Trails Department – Equipment Expenditure

For the purchase of a powersport snowmachine ( snowmobile or tracked ATV equivalent), to improve trail grooming capabilities and take the place of our older less reliable units of the powersport fleet. The motion consists of an expenditure with a budget up to $35,000.00  

 The decision regarding the make and model will be researched and a recommendation made by a committee reporting to the Trails coordinator. The final approval of the purchase will be made by the sitting Kanata Nordic Executive. 

If you have an interest in helping shape the future direction of Kanata Nordic; there will be opportunities to join a committee or a Board position or put forth suggestions for consideration and possible action where feasible.
